Painting update time! I've actually painted much more over the last few weeks than I thought I had. 

Sapper Moblot with HMG.

Five Chasseurs, even though they're only AVA 4, I've got an option to run an adhesive launcher if I want.

That scale creep though, both are S2.....

Para commando. I've got one of the other sculpts as well, but I'm unlikely to paint it for tabletop play; pose is just too weird.

Painting update time! Managed to smash out six minis on my days off; three metros, two Loup-Garou and one Zouave (and then another a few days after). Still need to come up with a basing idea for the Zouaves to account for the sapper game state (changes from S2 to S3).

Moblots!

Update Time!

I've been busy working on some Moblots, as seen below. All pretty standard, with one being converted to have a HMG instead of rifle (for when I'm not running a sapper HMG).

I've got the next six days off work, because work-life balance is important, and am hoping to get most of the things in the below photo painted.

MRRF update, buying what I can

So the end of June was pretty productive, with a 112 Emergency Service, a Metro HMG and Brigadier Bruant being painted. They took the June painting tally up to six minis (some kind of a recent record for me.

I've also just gone out and bought the last of the MRRF minis I was after (before most of the range gets pulled). As such I've added the following to my to paint list:
- 3x Moblot (plan is to covert one to a HMG, and the other to a boarding shotgun)
- 2x Metros (1x rifle, 1x DEP)
- 1x para commando

- 1x chasseur (adhl)

They should round out the collection. On to pics!

Sad news on the MRRF front, with (most of) their line of miniatures being retired later this year (linky: https://www.infinitythegame.com/blog/news/item/514-the-most-epic-battle-of-merovingia) 

Hopefully their list continues to live on for a while, and I can manage to get a couple of games in with them.

Infinity Update

So I haven't updated this blog in a while, even though I've steadily been painting in the background. My intent is to post more pics, and post them more often, but sometimes the motivation is hard and forcing yourself to paint (I find) results in worse minis or making mistakes more often. 

I'm hoping that I can keep up the painting effort (currently about 1 mini a week), so we'll see how it goes. That should mean if I do a monthly update there's four painted minis, or maybe two painted minis if I get around to uploaded fortnightly. Hopefully this blog can serve as both motivation for me to keep painting, show off some of my work, and for me to keep a record of what I've painted. 

The last two months has been on Infinity, doing both terrain, scatter terrain and minis. There aren't any pictures of the terrain as it's just been base coated grey, so there's not much to see there. 

The scatter terrain was both easy and difficult to paint. The Nomad crates were simple enough, but the fuelling points reminded me why I dislike painting yellow so much. Either way, the scatter terrain colours should mix up the dull greys of the buildings. 

The Infinity minis have been a pleasant break from the rank and file Warhammer fantasy minis; it's a only a pity they've waited over three years to get some paint on them.... I'm working on paining my Merovingian Rapid Response Force first. Don't know what drew me to them as a sectorial force, but there was something there. Excluding the HVT I've painted six, which only leaves another ten to go..... I'm sure I'll get there eventually. Minis have names, because clearly that'll make them roll better during games.
